Physician's story : holding life in a veteran : an incident of the late war. [1863?]

Haandwritten ink manuscript by "John Plowman," pen name of a physician at the Satterlee U.S. Army Hospital. The author tells the story of Sidney Patterson, a volunteer with a New York regiment, who was wounded at the battle of Chancellorsville in May, 1863 and died in the author's care later that summer.
